Medical Aesthetics: More Than Just Botox Injections

Medical aesthetics has recently undergone a remarkable transformation, offering patients increasingly advanced, personalized treatment options. Thanks to its dedication to continuous training and integration of numerous technological innovations, Clinique Laflamme has positioned itself as leaders in their field. Discover some of the most important advances in medical aesthetics.

Botox and other injections

In recent years, injections aiming to reduce wrinkles and restore facial volume have become incredibly popular. At Clinique Laflamme, I use products such as

The difference between Botox and hyaluronic acid injections

Although botulinum toxin (Botox) injections and hyaluronic acid injections are used to treat certain imperfections without surgery, they’re both significantly different.

Botox consists of a toxin that acts as a muscle relaxant by neutralizing the muscles. For example, Botox injections freezes certain nerves or muscles responsible for specific wrinkles. As for hyaluronic acid, it’s essentially a dermal filler made from complex sugars found in the body. This product is commonly used to restore fullness to the face and reduce the signs of fatigue associated with aging.

Using collagen biostimulators

Injectable molecules used as collagen biostimulants also represent a significant breakthrough in medical aesthetics. These semi-permanent medical devices promote the regeneration of collagen, a protein essential for skin elasticity and firmness. They work by stimulating natural collagen production, helping to correct tissue laxity and significantly improve skin quality.

Tensor threads, another treatment option used to stimulate collagen production and provide a nonsurgical lifting effect, are also worth mentioning.

Combining techniques for optimal results

Treatment plans have also become more complex as specialists have realized the importance of combining different techniques to achieve more natural and long-lasting results. This holistic approach has led to the emergence of medical platforms that integrate multiple technologies in a single clinic. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter which combination is prioritized; what’s important is to focus on a complete approach.

More than just Botox injections

Since its inception some fifteen years ago, I have relied on cutting-edge technologies to guarantee natural results for my patients. My multidimensional approach enables me to address a variety of aesthetic concerns and tailor treatments to individual needs — a method that goes beyond simple Botox injections.

The technologies I use include:

  • Ultrasound
  • Fractionated or non-fractionated radio frequency
  • Pulsed light
  • Laser

In short, medical aesthetics has evolved significantly in recent years, moving from an approach centred on Botox injections to a combination of advanced techniques. As a physician, I provide my patients with a full range of technologies and focus on achieving results that are both natural-looking and long-lasting. Don’t hesitate to contact me to schedule a consultation. I’ll help you determine which treatment plan is right for you and offer valuable information on the latest advances in medical aesthetics.
