Women’s Health: Treating Bladder Weakness and Other Gynecological Problems
Women's Health: Treating Bladder Weakness and Other Gynecological Problems
Much like facial skin loses elasticity over time, vaginal, vulvar, and pelvic floor tissues are also subject to the effects of aging. This can lead to a number of common, but often taboo, problems and discomforts that are unique to women. Fortunately, I can help shed light on the subject and explain the benefits of vaginal rejuvenation to counteract the effects of gynecological or urinary degeneration.
From bladder weakness to the appearance of the vulva
Over time, hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, and childbirth can cause vaginal laxity, resulting in vaginal prolapse and atrophy. As a result, women may experience various changes affecting
Lubrication during or outside of sexual relations, causing vaginal discomfort
Sexual health (for both men and women)
Bladder health (loss of urine)
Frequency of vaginal and urinary tract infections
Aesthetic appearance of the vulva.
Treatments that replace topical hormone therapy
In the medical field, some doctors focus solely on treating diseases. However, there are conditions for which quality of life should also be taken into account, and the same goes for lubrication problems (vaginal dryness). With the right techniques and the latest technology, pain experienced during penetration or simple movements can be easily eliminated. In my practice, I’ve also found that the results of vaginal rejuvenation are more consistent and last much longer than those of topical hormone treatments.
Improving sexual health
Sexual health is defined by the ability to control sexual behaviour and sexual inhibition, along with the absence of problems that can interfere with pleasure and reproductive functions. With this in mind, it’s clear that lubrication problems and vaginal laxity associated with gynecological aging are detrimental to the sexual health of both partners. Fortunately, fractionated or non-fractionated radiofrequencies can improve muscle tension and tighten vaginal tissues, positively affecting a couple’s sexual satisfaction.
It’s also possible to inject the G-spot and vaginal walls to improve muscle tension and increase satisfaction. In this case, the use of PRP is often preferred, although it doesn’t preclude other methods.
Controlling bladder weakness
Fortunately, these problems can also be treated with gynecological rejuvenation. A new technology, Morpheus8 V (InMode), now makes it possible to deliver nano-fractionated energy vaginally all the way to the edge of the pelvic floor and bladder. The resulting regeneration significantly improves bladder control for many patients.
Reducing the frequency of vaginal and urinary tract infections
Not to be confused with bladder weakness, vaginal and urinary tract infections are common problems for many women. They tend to increase as women age because hormonal changes weaken the protection of the vaginal lining. But thanks to genitourinary rejuvenation, vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, and other problems can be better controlled.
Aside from bladder weakness and infections, there's also the question of aesthetics
Over time, the vulva labia (minora and majora) lose elasticity, which has an aesthetic impact. Some women and their partners may find that this affects their satisfaction, a problem which can be corrected. With the right technology, I can, for example, treat the appearance of the vulva. I’d like to note that I do so with the same care and diligence as I would when addressing bladder weakness. Why? Because both scenarios play an important role in sexual health and satisfaction.
One of my missions is to help educate the general public so that fewer women silently suffer from common problems that can seriously affect their quality of life. Don’t hesitate to contact me at Clinique Laflamme if you have any questions or are looking for advice.
